Arielle Bennett-Jones Live at Studio 630
What words would you describe a female vocalist the vocal skills of the famous Phylis Hyman, the lyrical flows that radiate like Angela Winbush and the stage presence of India Arie? You'd have to call her by her name: Arielle Bennett-Jones.
Arielle aka Ree-Ree is a student currently attending Spelman College. She's been a guest performer at The Sunday Meltdown a few times and the crowd loves her!

What is the Sunday Meltdown?
Let your eyes adjust to the darkness.
Move deeper into Studio 630, find a seat, they fill up fast!
Then look over at the stage...Live music and a house band in Atlanta, for free? Well not absolutely free you have to buy your own drinks but the entry and food are free!
"All we have is this and this is everlasting, hold on"
AJae belts as the 630 Band plays under the spotlight.
“Nothing, can come, between us, nothing can pull us apart...” the crowd sings back.
It swoons and sways like a congregation at a revival meeting, each member waiting for more live entertainment.
The Sunday Meltdown welcomes lovers of R&B, smooth Jazz and live vocals! It sits smack dab in the middle of Travis St just off the corner of Northside Drive.
For generations it has been many types of things but now Studio 630 is known as the most well kept secret in the underground live jazz/R&B scene.
Since June, on Sunday night, Studio 630 turns into a free for all Jazz/R&B club for a fellowship of Atlanta’s music loving, creative class. You’re as likely to see an urban planner belt out “I Want to Know What Love Is,” by Foreigner or a writer screeching Stevie Wonders “Living for the City” as you would a photographer rapping to the old-school classic “Children’s Story” by Slick Rick.
Almost Free entertainment?!
You’d think a place where you can be entertained get upclose and personal with some well known artists, singers and musicians would cost anywhere between $15-$25 for entry but at Studio 630, both entry and fine cuisine are free for all. The only thing you pay for is drinks.
"If you're looking for an inexpensive place to have a birthday party, anniversary, girls night out, etc. Just email the staff at: the.sunday.meltdown@gmail.com and they'll take your information and have reserved seating for you and your guests (all for free)! You have to bring the cake." states Karma Oviquio
Drawing a crowd
The first Sunday Meltdown night at at Studio 630, you could sit anywhere you wanted. Try going in there now on Sunday night after 8pm and it’s hard to move.
Look around. You can tell the regulars by their seating (they come at 6:30 and are sitting directly in front of the stage.
“Sometimes, you don’t want to be a wife, you don’t want to be a mom. You want to be a woman; out on the town just relaxing and having a good time,” Karma says.
Stop by Studio 630 at 6:30 every Sunday evening. Someone may be singing or playing your favorite song.
Time to go inside and here an Erykah Badu rendition.

Studio 630 is looking for Singers and Poets
Studio 630 is currently looking for singers and poets who are at least 21yrs of age & older. You must be passionate about performing spoken word, R&B, soul, Neo soul, Jazz or Blues. These are non paying performances with the opportunity for placement at paying events.
